Days 32 - 35 OMG I missed so many days! Lots going on but still no excuse to not check in for like 5 minutes ... to sum things up, basically had oatmeal for breakfast and healthy lunches and dinners. Cheat day was Friday, as we had lots of stuff being that a new set of people joined our group. Lots of exercising with the baby, picking up and moving boxes and brisk walks. Lots of water.
Day 35 weigh-in day: I'm happy to report that I lost another 1/2 lb, for a total 7 lb loss! I'm the weight I was when I first became pregnant!!! This is sooooo exciting!!! (I was a bit heavier and the doc said to get down to that target weight, so I did, and then ate very healthily during the pregnancy, so I only gained 6 lbs.) Thank you so much to Sinnamon for inspiring all this. !!!
Mistake in days on the last post - weigh-in was Monday which was Day 36 for me. Yesterday (Tuesday, Day 37) we had Taco Night, switching it out for this Thursday because there are other things going on that night.
Day 37 meals: Breakfast: oatmeal Lunch: leftover portion of ziti w/meat sauce, Nissin shrimp w/noodles w/only 1/3 of the seasoning packet Dinner: ground turkey taco salad w/TJ's No-Guilt tortillas and low-sodium taco seasoning, lettuce, tomato, bit of sour cream Snack: nuts, 4 Saltines
Day 37 exercise: 45 minutes activity at Little Gym (for her age we had to accompany her, and there was lots of dancing, jumping, all kinds of activity, broke a sweat immediately!) brisk walking ab work
ok it's busy as heck, I've been running all over the place this weekend, my brain will crack. So I'm going to skip over Friday through Sunday (nothing out of the ordinary as far as meals or exercise) and go right to my Day 43, Monday. Did my weigh-in,and considering TOM or something like it, has started, or false-started, I'm not disappointed to announce no change in weight. Harlem Red, holding steady at a 7 lb total loss. And of course by "total loss" I mean achievement, lol! Didn't get a chance to go grocery shopping, so Monday consisted of food vendors and ordering in. And because TOM may be here or is just dropping by for a quick hello, the salty munchies have set in... I will work off Day 43's meals !!
Day 43 meals: Breakfast: oatmeal Lunch: hot dog & knish, both with mustard & sauerkraut Dinner: 2 chicken tenders, 4 bbq wings, 3 1/2 mozzarella sticks, fries, 1 bbq rib Snack: nuts
Day 50 ok this is becoming a habit for me. Sinnamon I need you back posting again because I'm fallin' off over here! lol, so to sum it up, lots of activity over the past days but lots of cookies Friday into Saturday, with a b-day party for the baby's little friend and apparently not enough exercise to work off those days - weigh in at a disappointing 1/2 lb gain! For a total loss of 6 1/2 lbs. It's disappointing because I know I didn't put in as much effort to not eat crap, nor as much effort to work it off. ... dammitdammitdammit
But if I've learned anything it's that one of the most helpful things in weight loss, for me anyway, is to stay accountable. I'm sure if I was posting every day it wouldn't have been so bad on the scale. Not that 1/2 lb is a big deal, but it bothers me because I slacked off and I knew I was slacking off. Damn those TJ's chocolate chip cookies which were really butter cookies in disguise with chocolate chips in them! I really had at them on Friday ... And caught the hubby attempting to house every last one of them sumbitches ...
