WOW!! Long Time, No Post...

I know it has been FOREVER since I posted to the site. I have been super busy and also a little discouraged. I had a weight gain of 2 pounds about a week ago and I was a bit upset at it. I also fell off a bit as far as the food I was eating. I think I got cocky about my progress and thought I didn't have to work as hard. That's a lie. I had been going to the gym everyday or at least getting in my daily activity. But no worries. I'll be back posting as soon as I can. My posting progress had also been delayed because of the death of my laptop. Hopefully, I can get a new laptop soon and be back in business.

If my count is correct, and I'm pretty sure that it is, today makes Day 71. Sorry for the delay in my postings and I will be back at it tonight after the gym.

Day 54 - Friday, 3/5

Rest/Pilates day! Not much to discuss here.

Day 53 - Thursday, 3/4

Back to the gym... It was a glute and ab day. I've decided in addition to a dedicated leg day, I'm going to add a glute only day. I also added calf raises to the program. I did 35 minutes of moderate cardio on the bike and elliptical machine (never again - I can't stand the elliptical).

I began my glute workout and here it is:
Inner/Outer thigh machine
Pile Squat with 45 lb plate
One arm Deadlift
Donkey Kicks - rear and side
Calf raises

Reverse crunches
Side crunches
weighted front crunches

Not too exciting today.

Day 52 - Wednesday, 3/3

Okay, I'm always a day behind.. ughh.... Anyways, on Wednesday, I was feeling like some serious cardio. I wanted to run in the park, but it was a bit too chilly for me, so I went to the gym and hit the treadmill. I did a lengthy interval run. 45 minutes for 3.35 miles. I felt so alive afterward! I can't wait to do it again.

After the run, I went to the weight area and worked shoulders and arms.

Overhead Barbell Raise
Lateral Raises
Arnold Press with bicep curl
Overhead dumbbell tricep press
Cable Tricep Pushdown
Bench Dips
Front raises (loaded barbell)
Barbell Curls

I haven't been posting my daily food intake lately because I've been a bit lazy. but I've been taking photos of it and posting on FB. I'll get back around to it soon. Promise!

Day 51

Day 51. Hmm... 51 days at it, and I'm still alive and kicking. I will say I'm getting a little bored with the gym. I need a sport; a new challenge. Volleyball anyone? Anyhoo, I spent day 51 at the gym. I did some walking on the treadmill for 30 minutes and then hit the weights for chest and back:

Pull ups *superset with* different types of pushups
Lat pull down
Straight arm lat pull down
Chest flyes
Standing cable rows *superset with* more push ups!

Ab work with Birdy.

It was an odd workout, since I didn't feel exhausted afterward, like I worked hard. Felt kind of blah... Since it's getting warmer out, it's about time to take this workout to the streets!

Day 49 and 50

Good morning all! Okay, here's the rundown of the past 2 days...

Day 49:
Sunday, February 28 was Day 49. My back was still a bit sore but manageable. Instead of the gym, I went ice skating with my cousins at the local rink. OMG it was SO FUN! I had a great time. It was a great cardio workout. I skated for about 2 hours and boy did I feel it it my tush and legs.

Day 50:
50 Days! Hot damn! Monday, March 1 made 50 days. I love it! I made it back to the gym and it felt pretty darn good. MY back didn't ache as much and I was able to get through a leg and cardio workout. My exercises:

Walking lunges (light weight) *superset with* single-leg leg press
Single Leg Iso-Lateral Leg Press
Butt Blaster *superset with* One Leg Squats
Leg Extension
Standing Leg Curl
Abs
20 minute interval run

It felt great! My legs are sore now, but I'll live. I also weighed myself and I didn't gain or lose anything. I measured my waist and I lost an inch. Hot damn!
